Chocolate Wedding Cake Advice
Your wedding cake is one of the major talking points at your reception. With so much choice it is often overwhelming to know where to begin. I have given some advice below and answered frequently asked questions to assist you in making your choice.
There are many different chocolate wedding cake finishes to choose from, including curls of white or dark chocolate, a solid chocolate finish or a smooth Belgian chocolate ganache, shards and fans of chocolate, to name a few. With all Serendipity chocolate wedding cakes, you can choose different fillings such as our award winning rich chocolate cake, fresh lemon zest cake, or classic vanilla cake all generously layered with a Belgian chocolate ganache, or perhaps our delicious fruit cake matured in rum and brandy. You may choose to have a combination of fillings to give guests a choice. All the wedding cakes are suitable to serve as a dessert. Why not consider serving your wedding cake as a dessert with seasonal berries and a fresh fruit coulis, or perhaps cream with a warmed Belgian chocolate ganache, all of which Serendipity Cakes can provide.
The individual chocolate cup cakes are very popular. The cup cake is made out of Belgian chocolate and filled with a flavoured sponge cake of your choice and topped with a Belgian chocolate ganache. Each cake is then individually decorated. We can accommodate your own design ideas, as well as offering advice regarding other designs to coordinate with your wedding theme. You can choose to use the top tier of the wedding cake stand to display a 6 top tier, which not only gives you something to cut at the wedding breakfast, but also fulfils your traditional first duty together as man and wife!
For something completely different, why not consider a tower of meringues or a Croquembouche. These designs both make great desserts. The meringue tower can be served with fresh berries, cream and a raspberry coulis. The Croquembouche is a traditional French wedding cake. Each choux pastry is filled with a Belgian chocolate mousse and is served with cream or a warm Belgian chocolate sauce, which can be supplied by Serendipity Cakes.
